People who work in these type of professions generally enter into this profession as away to help others while earning a living. Making sure that your own needs are met will help to ensure that you are providing the best possible service to your wonderful clients in the long haul of it all.
It is imperative that your mind and body receive exercise and attention....yea I know it is better said than done, but it is crucial that you adhere to some type of "self-care" on a regular basis.
Self care can mean something as simple as not working on certain days of the week and allowing for some downtime to include doing nothing at all or participating in an activity that you truly enjoy. Releasing stress through some form of exercise is a great way to stay in shape and keep your momentum going. Spending time in your favorite library or picking out a good paperback book is a comforting and quiet way to reconnect with yourself with no distractions.
If you are a Beauty Therapist, maybe you should go out and get yourself a massage, pedicure or your hair done. Treating your self to a few good things in your life, within your means, is necessary and you should make it a top priority!
Let us know how you practice "Self-Care"! We'd love to share your thoughts with our readers.
